how do you know you have the latest hal ?

as far as i know i have the latest hal it was the 6.2 rc canidate was that the last update robert ? i beleive (you asked for suggestions ) that hal should have the hal version show up on whatever interface is used in another words (not in gigantic letters ) but decreetly on the left top side , etc. where it would show exactly what version a person has and if you realease a version (not beta ) and its approved maybe hal would show something in red saying a newer hal version has been released (kind of like antivirus update notices ) . as of now i don't know if this is the last update or not if i have the latest (which i want ) . what do you think about this suggestion  robert could it be done . ??[][][8D]

Right click on Hal's system tray icon and click on "About Ultra Hal..."  Credits will scroll by that will start with Hal's exact version number. It should be either 6.2.22 (released 2 days ago) or 6.2.24 (released today). The different between 6.2.22 and 6.2.24 is a licensing issue so if you have 6.2.22 working correctly there is no need to get 6.2.24 at this point.
